St. Charles East High School isn’t typical Continuum stomping grounds, but we are super excited about this extra special session. We don’t often get the opportunity to travel for a senior session, but we were elated to be able to photograph Madeline’s photos in Batavia, Illinois. We already knew Madeline from photographing her in her brother Nick’s wedding last year. Senior shoots are always fun, but the extra bit of familiarity with having already gotten a chance to photograph someone always helps. Madeline’s personality really comes out in these photos. I would have to sum it up by saying she is full of life, and fun to be around. She also has some sort of mystical control over the weather, because as lousy as the rain situation that day was, when we needed to shoot it stopped for us. We photographed her near the Fabyan Windmill in Batavia, which was a fantastic spot!

A consistent theme in all your photos is that it seems like everyone is enjoying their time in front of the camera. Beautiful images.

Outdoor senior portraits in Portland, Oregon are a fun adventure, and Oregon City High School Senior Model Lindsay’s session was no exception. We shared a few tidbits about Lindsay in Part 1 of her Portland senior pictures blog, and we were excited to take her to an out-of-the-way location in North Portland. After exploring this spot on Night 4 of the 100 Nights project, we knew there’d be endless options for inspired portraits, and Lindsay’s flowing and stylish outfits were an especially cool contrast with the industrial edge of the location.

Do you go to Oregon City High School and need exciting senior pictures in Portland, Oregon? Grab one of Lindsay’s rep cards, and you’ll get an amazing senior portrait experience like hers! It had rained recently before we went out for Lindsay’s session, so the pools of water were a cool element to experiment with.

One of the first things I noticed when we first met Lindsay was her outfit! She has an awesome sense of personal style, which only makes our job easier. 😉

These weathered steps were hidden away behind the old warehouses.

Remember those pools of water I mentioned earlier? With Lindsay’s eye-catching red rain boots and a huge puddle on-hand, we couldn’t resist having her splash around a bit.

The old North or NW Portland area does have countless backgrounds. Usually it’s models that I take there for portfolio shots, and tracks and rusty stuff are some favorites. The senior girl looked pretty good on the old steps too.

We had a great afternoon shooting Portland high school senior photos with our Oregon City High School 2012 Model, Lindsay! She’s involved both on-stage and behind-the-scenes in Oregon City High School’s theater program–we even got to see her play one the willowy elves in their production of The Hobbit–and she also keeps busy with dance, baking, making jewelry, and conducting “scientific experiments.”  That last one sounded pretty mischievous to us, at first, but Lindsay has been totally sweet and well-mannered every time we’ve gotten together with her.

We love seeing our seniors go through the transformation of getting senior portraits with makeup and hair, and Jenna Schneider was happy to help us out again, and give Lindsay’s arresting blue eyes a little extra pop.  We want every portrait session at Continuum Seniors to be fun and exciting, so we always offer hair and makeup, and even professional wardrobe styling for an extra-special experience!

Next up: Part Two of our introduction of Lindsay, where we’ll be showing you our favorite shots from Lindsay’s outdoor senior photos. We’d love to see you join us on Facebook and follow our Twitter, and you’ll get notified when Lindsay’s beautiful photos go live.
